Seed Vases were inspired by the intricate and asymmetrical shapes found in the cross sections of flower ovules.
We walked away from the Field Museum, starry-eyed inspired from the vast collections on display. The Plants of the World exhibit at the Field Museum features a wide range of fascinating and educational displays, including an extensive collection of plant ovule models. These models are designed to give visitors a detailed look at the inner workings of these important plant reproductive structures.
These tiny structures contain the very essence of life, the potential to grow and thrive and create something new. In this way, they are not just beautiful, but also deeply meaningful, representing the cyclical nature of the natural world and the power of regeneration and renewal.
